JOHN M. HUENKE is the President/Founder of JMH Properties Inc. and a former Principal and co-founder of Cornerstone Development Group, Inc.

Mr. Huenke graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics from Rowan University in 1986. He worked his way through college in the construction trades and later project management.He co-founded a York County, PA based homebuilding/developing company in 1990, developing his first property under the Cornerstone brand that same year. Over nearly two decades he built Cornerstone Development Group into one of the largest residential developer/builders in Pennsylvania’s Susquehanna Valley region. Mr. Huenke was directly involved in leading Cornerstone Development Group’s day-to-day operations. He was actively involved in finance and asset management, property management, lender servicing, acquisitions, dispositions, and refinancing. With Cornerstone he acquired, entitled, developed and built over 5,000 residential lots in the state of Pennsylvania. 

Since 1990 Mr. Huenke has designed, permitted, and developed both public water and waste water systems in order to facilitate residential development. 

In 2002, Mr. Huenke developed and built his first commercial strip center and office building.

In 2003, he developed and built his first apartment complex. In 2005, prior to the real estate market turn, Mr. Huenke successfully negotiated the $143 million sale of Cornerstone Development Group’s land assets to a national home builder. In 2006 he successfully negotiated the $26 million sale of Cornerstone Development Group’s remaining home building company. From 2007 to the present, in addition to developing more than 300 for-sale residential lots he has also entitled, developed, built, stabilized, and sold more than 1,000 apartment units. He is a present or past member of the York and Lancaster County Home Builder’s & Developer’s Associations, Pennsylvania Home Builder’s Association, and the National Home Builder’s Association. He has nearly 40 years of extensive experience with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies and has made hundreds of personal presentations to approval boards.Mr. Huenke has been involved in over $700 million in real estate transactions.
